Unlock insights and connect
more deeply with whomever you choose.

Our role is show how asking good questions can immediately improve your ability to understand others and make deeper connections.
Happily, the benefits are equally applicable to your work and personal lives.
Lisa leverages her experience as one of Canada's leading qualitative researchers to teach how asking good questions is distinctly better than asking a lot of questions.
Or no questions at all. Her teaching includes:

We curate the learning for who, where, the timing, and budget. But the goal is always the same: to teach and inspire the use of good questions to the benefit of all.
Geared for Presidents and Partners, these 5-day retreats take you out of the country to learn, reflect, and connect with other leaders. We've done Turks & Caicos and the DR so far, with more adventures to come. It's an amazing way to learn the power of a good question, and the life hacks of other leaders, surrounded by the sun, sand, and beach.
“I love, love, loved this trip...It was an amazing time spent with
amazing women and I feel blessed that I had the opportunity to go!” - President
Typically from 30 to 60 minutes, Lisa shares the key tips for asking better questions and inspires listeners to act in a new way, starting immediately. Lisa is often the closing speaker for marketing or industry-wide conferences, ending on learning that has benefits both work-wise and personally.
"It was half training and half comedy show." - Marketing Director
Training can span from 3-hour sessions to 5-week programs. They can be one-on-one or department-wide. The tools learned are often applied in the session to a hot problem or opportunity, to showcase the benefits in-action to the individual, organization, or Board.
"This session is very helpful for the work that we do as an organization, and how we support our community, but most importantly how we communicate with each other as colleagues." - Employee

These programs are designed for the individual who is always learning and is curious about how asking even better questions, and in an expert way, can get them to the next level of connection with the world around them.
Happening across the GTA and across the Country, these 6-hour workshops can change your life. You learn new skills in a dynamic environment, and in a safe-enough space to try-out new techniques right away.
This one-on-one focus allows us to see where your starting point is, and tailor the learning to what you will most benefit from. It's been successful with people from 16 to 72 years of age so far. [Some parents take the training themselves and then introduce it to their children.] It takes from 3 to 9 hours, depending on your objectives.
"I thought I asked good questions before, but now I realize that I didn't!" - 25 year old
Lisa is Chief Engagement Officer of Power of a Good Question Inc. She founded the Company in 2025 after being consumed by the opportunity to improve the world through teaching people how to ask good questions.
[Yes, a lofty goal, but it’s happening!]
Lisa has been a qualitative researcher and strategist for almost 30 years, which means she has been making a living asking questions to more than 35,000 people to understand what makes them tick. And this doesn’t include the questions she asks in her personal life.
Lisa hails from Ogilvy & Mather Advertising in Toronto, where she rose to Managing Partner: Head of Account Service & Consumer Insight. She ran the IBM business (the Agency’s largest), as well as Kraft, Campbell’s, Nestle, American Express, Seagram’s, Mattel, Kimberly-Clark, WWF, banking, and real estate.
She was instrumental in rolling-out “brand” management across Ogilvy and led the Agency’s training programs. She created the in-house Consumer Inspiration Centre, with Ogilvy arguably being the first Agency to engineer consumer input into its creative development process.
In 1996, bitten by the consumer bug, Lisa founded heads up: Inspiration from Information Inc., building it into a collaborative team of passionate professionals, dedicated to moving clients from the messy and difficult into clear paths going forward. After decades of qualitative insights, Lisa handed over the reins of heads up in 2025 to concentrate on inspiring others to ask good questions and form deeper connections with anyone they choose.
A self-described “wolf in sheep’s clothing”, Lisa combines a powerful strategic acumen with a gentle, witty, approach. Her wisdom, real-world experiences, and engaging stories contribute to her being a spell-binding speaker and trainer for companies, leaders, and youth.
